As odd as it may sounds, I’ve been as housebound this winter as our ancestors were many years ago. But winds can scour the lifeless woods around our home as much as they want, and snow can come fast and keep on coming as much as it wants. My soul is content and I exults, like the creatures in the forests, in burrowing in my own human hideaway... my home.
A wintery day of bird watching, and contemplation, and daydreaming behind the tall windows of our sunroom-dinning room; where I’ve been spending a lot of my days lately…
I love love mornings.... and breakfast time is my favorite time of day
Out of the oven bread, mozzarella cheese and coffee in the morning…
As long as there’s a blanket to curl under, books, the Internet, an old cozy PJ, warm sleepers and
each other, we’re happy to let the world retreat…
It is winter’s gift to turn us inward…
How are you spending yours?

You have the perfect plan.
ReplyDeleteMay we all, follow the same plan...
I'm trying, trying to not follow the general trend, in Blog Land... That of moaning and crying and wishing for Spring, Spring, Spring. I'm trying.
I like to live in the present Season. And never wish the Wheel Of The Year, to turn more quickly than it does.
Gentle hugs,
Tessa~
You're so right... "Nature gives to every season, a beauty all its own"

It was as fun as can be to imagine your joy when you read Tesa's comment! It made me happy thinking about it. I have been cleaning today, crocheting.. And thinking way too much!
ReplyDeleteOh friend I know exactly what you mean by "thinking way too much"... I know. I understand. And somehow.... we must... we need to give all of our worries and 'thoughts to the only one who can help us regain our peace of heart.... by making our thoughts His thoughts.

Hello, Cielo
ReplyDeleteI enjoy the quite time that winter provides: a stack of books, skeins of yarns, fresh warm biscuits and pots of soup, the way the light comes into my home, so many things.
Thank you for your visit.
Karen
How are you Cielo it's been forever since I have visited with you! I did notice a few weeks ago that you have a new blog so I updated that in my sidebar. I miss your kinky party. Thanks for joining the party here.

Hi Cielo, Winter has been unbearable here in the North. I have been cleaning and organizing. I am excited to hear the birds again, so that must mean that Spring is coming soon! I am weary and frustrated with the snow. HOWEVER, your blog stimulates my imagination so that even if I am cold and homebound, I never lose sight of my daydreams! You make me smile when I read your blog, and even the bitter cold cannot stop the heartwarming words you write!
ReplyDeleteI am featuring you today at the Home Sweet Home party Cielo!

Cielo, there is something about our little abode that brings us comfort. Curling up on a cold Winters day is always a special gift. A gift to ones self to slow down, relax and enjoy the warmth within. Thanks for the sweet thought and beautiful image. Happy to be following your new blog.
